Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 26, 2026

This policy describes how Dub Siren – NJD Style ("Dub Siren", "the app") handles information when you use the mobile app for iOS and iPadOS. It is meant to be read together with Apple's App Privacy details on the App Store product page, which remain the official summary required for distribution.

Information we do not collect in the app itself

Dub Siren does not require you to create an account in the app. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or postal address for app sign-up. The app does not include first-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs as shipped in our codebase.

The siren and delay audio are generated and played on your device using bundled sound material. Knob and delay settings are used for your current session and are not written to device storage by the app in the version this policy describes.

Optional Spotify connection

If you choose to connect Spotify, you sign in with Spotify. That process is handled by Spotify. An authorization session tied to your Spotify account allows the app to:

  • Show what is currently playing (for example track title, artist, album, and artwork where available).
  • Send playback commands such as play, pause, next, and previous through Spotify's app remote interfaces.
  • In some cases, request track metadata from Spotify's Web API (for example to resolve artwork).

Those interactions involve communication between the app, the Spotify app where applicable, and Spotify's services. How Spotify processes personal data is described in Spotify's Privacy Policy.

Optional token exchange (developer-hosted)

Some builds of the app can be configured to use developer-operated URLs for Spotify token exchange or refresh. If that is enabled for your copy of the app, those servers may process tokens or related session data solely to keep Spotify access working. We do not use that mechanism for advertising or to sell personal information. If your installed build does not use custom token URLs, this section does not apply.

App Store privacy summary (plain language)

For distribution on the App Store, we disclose data practices in Apple's privacy questionnaire. In summary, when you use optional Spotify features:

  • Identifiers (User ID): Used for App Functionality (for example to authenticate and maintain your Spotify session). This data is linked to your identity via your Spotify account.
  • Usage Data (Product Interaction): Used for App Functionality (for example to reflect playback state and your use of transport controls in the app). This data is linked to your identity in the context of your connected Spotify session.
  • We do not use this data for Apple's definition of tracking (for example, we do not use it to link your activity across other companies' apps and websites for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, and we do not share it with data brokers for such purposes).

The labels and detail screens shown on the App Store at the time you install the app may include additional categories or updates; they take precedence if this page has not yet been revised.

Children

Dub Siren is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a way that concerns you, please contact us.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy, except where applicable law requires additional steps.
